Advisory meetings with Ali Stein are at an interval of your choice, depending on your business needs. Most sessions are 1-1.5 hours, either one-on-one or with a small group.

COMMON TOPICS

  • Do you feel like you’re constantly on the go and haven’t spent the time to take a step back to examine where your business is today and where it’s going? Through vision-setting exercises, financial modeling, and evaluating your team structure, we map out your past, present, and future and work towards holding you accountable for reaching your goals. We will work to set measurable goals and do 1,3-5 and 10-year planning.

  • For some clients, diving into financials can be intimidating. We will start by understanding your level of fluency and then, from there will work together to identify the tools you have and the tools you need. This will enhance your ability to make informed and data-driven decisions. Regular topics include understanding revenue, expenses, and projections.

  • Bringing in new clients or selling products is at the core of a successful and profitable business. Together, we will discuss strategies that are applicable to your specific business as well as your personality. Regular topics include leveraging your network, branding, tools for selling and other ways to build a pipeline for winning new clients. And, of course, we’ll discuss strategies for having your existing clients or customers spread the word!

  • As a creative, the first thing your potential clients look to is your imagery! How are you utilizing photography to its fullest potential? We will discuss various tools such as photos, social media, your portfolio, publicists, and more. When applicable, we will recommend you to other industry experts who can execute your vision.

  • Oftentimes, as creatives we are selling a product. Whether it be a newly designed room, an architectural detail, or a beautiful piece of art, we are hoping our vision will align with that of our client. Together, we will discuss ideas for sales tactics and how you can drive stronger conversions in your presentations and client interactions, which ultimately will lead to an increased bottom line.

  • Whether you’re a team of one or a large organization, how you structure your day-to-day operations and interact with colleagues/consultants can have a huge impact on how smoothly your business runs. We’ll discuss effective strategies for communication, people management, building culture, process refinement, hiring, and negotiation so that you can be an effective leader of a thriving business.

  • Being a great leader is not easy, but it is very rewarding. There are many skills that differentiate a good leader from a great leader. Through mentorship, role-playing, and workshopping, we work towards building better relationships with your teammates, which ultimately leads to sustainable results.

  • Clients and consultants can simultaneously be your biggest supporters and/or your most challenging conversations. Through role-playing, scenario planning, and conversation we talk through ways to have candid conversations that build trust and also help you achieve your goals. Frequent topics include budget and timeline management.

We’ll work together to make sure you finish every project strong and implement other client best practices. Our business strategy workshop is a great starting point for most new clients. It serves as an onboarding to understand your business structure and needs.

COMMON TOPICS

  • Together we walk through a SWOT analysis which is a method used to quickly synthesize the current state of the business and craft a set of strategic goals.

  • Let the numbers help tell your story. Together we review revenue streams and key financial statements that provide insight on the health of the business.

  • Who are the people on your team and what are they working on? Are they being effectively utilized? How do you spend your time and are you doing what you love each day? These are some examples of the questions we’ll discuss.

  • You know that classic interview question where someone asks “Where do you see yourself in 5 years?” We’ll dive into both your short-term and long-term vision to make sure the choices you are making today are setting you up for success and happiness in the long term. We will also put together a set of 1-year goals to start working towards your vision.
